Beyond the River is the story of the rise a man through kayaking.

The Dusi Marathon is a kayak race that is legendary by many means. It’s been going on since 1951, it gathers around 2 000 Paddlers every year, and the athletic performance of this marathon is incredible: it includes some serious white water that competitors run in marathon boats!

Beyond the river shows the preparation for this race of an unusual duo: a white paddler that has tons of experience on the Dusi Marathon, and his black partner that is completely new to kayaking but wants it more than anybody else. The nightmare of one meets the dream of the other one, and this is the story of their common achievement.
