> When traveling along waterways within many countries, one can now observe an astonishing number of sit-on-tops, kayaks, and canoes on the roofs of passing cars.   This is a tangible result of the explosion of paddlesports over the last ten years.   Paddling is no longer a fringe sport, nor the latest fashion that's in one day and out the next.   Paddling is now one of a family's main options when it comes to outdoor activities.   Just seeing the number of companies using paddlesports to value their image in their ad campaigns makes it apparent that paddling matters and has gone mainstream.   Paddling speaks to many people.   It is fresh, dynamic, accessible and open to the world.

> This evolution in paddlesports is one of the reasons why we wanted to make a recreational paddling magazine.   Positive developments in teaching techniques, boat design, and the gear available have drawn more and more people to the sport; water lovers from ages 5 to 85 are finding that paddling is one of the most enjoyable ways to explore the outdoors.   All forms of paddlesports encompass the elements of discovery, excitement, exercise, nature, and peace.   The rich experience to be gained on the water is what draws us all to the sport and it is what we will showcase in our newest creation, Paddle World - The International Paddlesports Magazine.

> What is Paddle World Magazine?  Similar to the concept of Kayak Session Magazine, Paddle World is an annual special issue that highlights the visual aspects of all paddlesports - sea kayaking, touring, canoeing, expeditions, kayak fishing, recreational, outrigger, and any other form of paddling. Paddle World allow us the opportunity to again combine our passion for water and our love for beautiful pictures. Through publishing Kayak Session Magazine, we have worked with some of the best photographers in the sport, and we know we will continually have incredible photographs capturing favorite places and new adventures in vibrant color. We ultimately wish to appeal to and inspire the enthusiasts, as well as invite newcomers into the world of paddling through our "coffee table style" magazine.

> In showcasing the wide variety of exploration and enjoyment available on waterways all over the planet, we hope to link together boating families from around the world.   The pages of Paddle World will be a place where we can all exchange, discover, and share our passion regardless of where we live and what our experiences are.   We believe that Paddle World will inspire readers to go out and do more paddling - to discover new places, meet new people, and check out new gear.
